The First Step
The first step to becoming a disciple of Jesus is to believe that He is the Son of God and to trust in Him to save you from your sin, reconcile you to God and give you eternal life. You do this by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Savior and Lord. In so doing you become a child of God and a member of God’s family of fellow believers.
Water Baptism
Another important step in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ is water baptism. We believe that baptism is a symbolic, public, visible demonstration of an invisible, inner work of God when a person places their faith in God. For this reason, we only baptize people who have consciously placed their trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Before a person can be baptized, we require each participant to complete an application and to attend a brief baptism orientation the morning prior to the service.
For specific dates and information about baptisms, please contact our church office at 972- 617-3752.
